Harmonious Forest
Harmonious Forest is a landscape design for a site of 5300 square meters in Taichung. The layout is based on three elements: axes, blank space and layers. Layers of greenery and simple geometric lines are interwoven to reflect the aesthetic of eastern brush painting and calligraphy. A welcoming trail is lined with Taiwan pines, camphor trees, Madagascar almonds and bald cypresses. Grass, a small bridge, a flowing stream, blooming trees and a pond at the gate form a rustic scene. Windows frame the garden like a painting that changes with the seasons.
Harmonious Forest Landscape by Hsu Fu Chu was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Harmonious Forest Landscape was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that honors outstanding design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
